At the head of the family estate since 1997, Stéphane Ogier imposes an elegant and fine style on the wines he produces, inspired by his Burgundian experience. Based in Ampuis, the capital of Côte-Rôtie which produces the greatest red wines of the Rhône valley, the estate also extends to other appellations such as Saint-Joseph, Condrieu or Côtes du Rhône.
"Le Passage" is a wine which primarily draws its strength from a very beautiful schist terroir in Saint-Joseph, an appellation in the northern Rhône renowned for its red wines that are both very fine and very expressive. Stéphane Ogier's delicate aging then brings a final touch of elegance to this Saint-Joseph wine.
This magnum of Stéphane Ogier Le Passage 2021 can already be enjoyed or waited a few years in the cellar. Its alcohol level (12.5%) makes it a light and easy-drinking red wine while being very expressive with an explosion of aromas and flavors, particularly spicy.
