Based in Ampuis, on the banks of the Rhône in the heart of the Côte Rôtie, Maison Guigal produces a very wide range of wines, white and red, in all the main appellations of the Rhône valley.
Located on a granite hillside, the “Vignes de l’Hospice” have characteristics of its neighbors in Hermitage, namely power and concentration. This 100% Syrah red wine also presents the virtues of its Saint-Joseph appellation, elegance and freshness. Add to this 30 months of aging in new oak barrels, and you obtain a powerful and elegant Saint-Joseph with aromas of black fruits and spices and a touch of new wood.
This bottle of Guigal Saint-Joseph "Vignes de l'Hospice" 2021 is still a little young, keep it in the cellar or decant it two hours before tasting.
