Based in Ampuis, on the banks of the Rhône in the heart of the Côte Rôtie, Maison Guigal produces a very wide range of wines, white and red, in all the main appellations of the Rhône valley.
“La Turque” is part of Guigal’s prestigious trilogy, alongside “La Mouline” and “La Landonne”. These exceptional Côte-Rôtie wines contribute to the reputation of the appellation, and that of Rhône wines in general. “La Turque” is made from Syrah (93%) and Viognier (7%) vines on a magnificent Côte Brune terroir, giving this great Rhône wine a certain power. However, it is balanced by a great finesse resembling that of a Côte blonde wine.
This bottle of Guigal "La Turque" 2020 has very great aging potential, it should be kept carefully in the cellar.
