The history of Maison Vincent Girardin is quite recent. Indeed, in the 1980s, in Burgundy, Vincent Girardin broke free from a long family lineage to produce his own wine. Little by little, he will build a great success in the heart of the Côte de Beaune thanks to the quality of his wines.
“Les Santenots” is a Volnay premier cru climat with limestone soil and red clay. The Pinot Noir expresses itself perfectly on this well-exposed sloping terrain. The result is an opulent and charming wine with notes of crunchy red fruits and sweet spices.
This bottle of Vincent Girardin Volnay Premier Cru "Les Santenots" 2019 is still a little young, it will be better to wait a little, decant it for one to two hours for a tasting today.
