Located in the Haut-Médoc appellation, on a gravel ridge north of Pauillac, Château Sociando Mallet is one of the most famous unclassified red wines from Bordeaux. It produces very full-bodied, very classic and elegant wines, with great aging potential.
Its grape varieties are mainly Merlot (54%), followed by Cabernet Sauvignon (42%) and Cabernet Franc (4%).
The excellent quality of the 1989 vintage coupled with the aging potential of this Cru offers an excellent, evolved and complex wine, in the classic lineage of the great red wines of Bordeaux.
