Those bottles have only been stored in two cellars, the winemaker's and ours.

Created in Alsace in 1959 by an ancestral family of winegrowers, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is distinguished by its pioneering commitment to Biodynamics. The 42 hectares of vines spread over around ten terroirs are treated as naturally as possible. The winemaking is carried out with the same spirit.

The production of this special vintage "Sélection de Grains Nobles" does not take place every year because it depends on the appearance of the Botrytis fungus on the Gewurztraminer grapes. The morning mists at the end of summer 2008 allowed this phenomenon to appear. The result is a sweet wine, with aromas of ripe fruit and lychee. Although rich, the palate is full of elegance and finesse.

This bottle of Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer Hengst Sélection de Grains Nobles is at the beginning of its peak, it will reveal all its potential when tasting for many more years.
