Located in Alsace, Domaine Marcel Deiss has been known for many years for its practice of complantation, which consists of bringing together different grape varieties on the same plot. A pioneer in biodynamics, the estate integrates this ancient viticultural practice for a better expression of the terroir.
The Altenberg of Bergheim is no exception to this rule, all the Alsatian grape varieties are present on the overexposed clay-limestone mound, giving very early maturity to the grapes and the appearance of noble rot allowing the production of this great wine. sweet white.
The result is a powerful, rich and fresh wine, with multiple and complex fruit aromas ranging from citrus to candied fruit as well as a touch of honey and vanilla.
This bottle of Marcel Deiss Altenberg de Bergheim 2017 has a strong aging potential. It will be delicious for at least 30 years. Carafe one hour before tasting if you are drinking it today.
