The history of this House in Burgundy begins in 1731 with the first acquisitions of vines by Denis Latour, a few decades later, Louis Latour officially founded the House in 1797 and gave it its name. Today she cultivates the largest estate of Grands Crus in Burgundy.
A very renowned appellation of the Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot is entirely classified as Grand Cru, making it the largest Grand Cru appellation in Burgundy with its 52 hectares of Pinot Noir vines. The terroir is of course of high quality and the red wines produced are great wines for keeping with great richness and great aromatic complexity.
This bottle of Louis Latour Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2014 has blossomed and improved over ten years. It begins to deliver its potential and will be very pleasant to taste. It can also be kept for a few more years.
