The history of this House in Burgundy begins in 1731 with the first acquisitions of vines by Denis Latour, a few decades later, Louis Latour officially founded the House in 1797 and gave it its name. Today she cultivates the largest estate of Grands Crus in Burgundy.
Renowned appellation of the Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin enjoys an excellent terroir. Its limestone soil with brown and red hues is perfectly suited to Pinot Noir and gives the red wine it produces power, body, and aromatic richness.
